Volunteers needed for Memorial Day Parade!
Berwick’s annual Memorial Day parade steps off Monday, 30 May at 11:00 A.M. from the Berwick Town Hall/Sullivan Square. Parade participants are asked to arrive by 10:30. The parade will continue up Sullivan Street, then turn right onto Wilson Street and march up Allen Street/Route 236 to the Berwick Veteran’s Memorial Park where participants will pause for a brief service. The parade will then reform and continue down Saw Mill Hill to the Somersworth-Berwick Bridge where a brief ceremony will be conducted in memory of those lost at sea. The parade will conclude where it started, in Sullivan Square, with a memorial service honoring area veterans who lost their lives in the Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War I and II, Korea and Vietnam. The public is invited to view the parade and attend the observance ceremonies. Should the parade be cancelled due to inclement weather, there will be an indoor ceremony in the Berwick Town Hall auditorium at 11:00 a.m. which will be open to the public. FMI contact: 207-698-5036
